LKP car - what is it?

You can protect the surface of the car from scratches and rust with a good coating. Paint and varnish coating (LKP) in transport is necessary for the appearance and beauty of the car, and to extend the life of the car body.

What is a paint coating, what types of LCP are? How to extend the life of such a coating?

Features and types of defects

To protect the car body from corrosion, the paint and varnish covering is applied, consisting of several layers (integumentary, intermediate and soil). Varnish is used, primer, enamel or paint. Each of the layers has its own function, aimed at protecting the metal from further damage. The durability of LCP in transport depends on the following factors:

  • how well prepared ??car surface for painting;
  • the choice of LCP system in accordance with those conditions, in which it will be operated;
  • chemical, physical and mechanical properties of funds.

Formation of defects on the paintwork of the car

Surface defects can be as follows:

  • old chips and scratches with corrosion and rust;
  • damage, which reached the metal. Require restoration of the shape of the part, and then surface correction;
  • small scratches, which are eliminated without drawing LKP, using polishing material.

The better the application of paint on the transport, the better its protection against rust and corrosion. Thickness of car paint (the table of dimensions is given below) each car is different. Thus on the same vehicle the layer can be not identical and usually fluctuates from 75 to 165 micron.
