Automatic introduction of AVR reserve: appointment, principle of operation and rules of choice

The vast majority of buyers do not have sufficient knowledge and often believe the words of sellers. The same, in turn, take advantage of this and offer low-quality switchboard and generator equipment, which can sometimes even pose a threat to people's health. So that sellers do not mislead when buying a generator with automation, you will find the following information useful.

What is automatic provisioning?

It won't hurt to find out first, what is meant by this abbreviation. For specialists, it means like a reserve input machine (AVR), but consumers associate it with an automatic device for switching the main circuit to the power plant and back. This device is characterized by a fairly simple principle of operation.

How AVR works?

The main role in the operation of this switch is assigned to the contactor group. It is about a group of contactors, which, essentially, are elements, which control the presence of light.

If the light goes out, then a corresponding signal is sent from the contactors to the control mechanism. As the latter, the controller acts here. Further commands are already coming from him, and they become the basis for switching on the power supply of the generator and turning it on. At that moment, when the main network starts working, the controller switches back to the network, as a result, the electrical installation is turned off. This is the essence of the automatic switch.

Dealing with that, how AVR works, you can also pay attention to the features of choosing automation, which will help to avoid problems when using this switch. Most consumers do not consider it appropriate to pay attention to automation for power plants when choosing a generator. And in this they are wrong. The point is, that in the case of using low-quality automation, the latter is already after 6 after months of operation, it starts making an unpleasant noise, after a year it overheats, against the background of which the probability of fire increases. And this already creates a serious danger not only for devices and appliances, installed in the building, but also for people, who live in it.
