How to disassemble a Samsung vacuum cleaner yourself

Not many people know how to disassemble a Samsung vacuum cleaner with their own hands. Meanwhile, it is not very difficult. Having a special tool and the ability to handle it is often the bare minimum for success.

Major faults

There are not many of them. Usually, they are quite trivial, but if necessary, you need to disassemble the vacuum cleaner. You can't do without it when diagnosing faults. The main causes of breakdown of the vacuum cleaner are as follows:

  • bearing failure;
  • wear of engine brushes;
  • engine failure;
  • faults in the electronic system.

Along with the above, other deviations in work can arise also, but they are, as they say, lie on the surface. Example, the fuse has blown. In this case, it is enough to replace it with a new one, and the vacuum cleaner will work again.

We are preparing for disassembly

First, than to start repairs, it is necessary to prepare everything for this. In the first place, tools will be needed. There is nothing unusual in it: set of screwdrivers, trade winds, set of heads, awl, a small hammer - that will be enough. Additionally, you must have WD-40 fluid, EP-2 or Litol oil -24, soldering iron and clean rags. An ordinary tester will be needed to ring the electrical circuits.

Stages of disassembly and repair

Disassembling a vacuum cleaner is not so difficult, as it may seem at first glance. First you need to unscrew the mounting bolts from the housing.

You will then be able to remove the cover. Disconnect the wires from the electronic board, control carefully separate the case. The main part of the dismantling work can be considered completed. Next, carefully remove the engine and carefully remove it from the plastic housing, in which it is placed.

All work must be performed without brute force, so as not to break the fragile plastic parts.

disassembly of the engine

Because the main part of the vacuum cleaner malfunctions occurs due to the engine, then to repair it often has to be disassembled.

This process is not difficult and looks like this. Carefully remove the impeller cover with a thin screwdriver. As a result, access to the nut of its fastening is opened. Unscrewing a nut it is necessary to remove engine brushes and to unscrew the tightened screws of the case. It remains to carefully remove the anchor, and you can start removing the bearings. As a result of the work done in the workplace should look something like this (in the photo).

An affordable tool is usually enough to remove the bearings, but sometimes you need a special stripper. After disassembly, all parts are thoroughly cleaned of dust and dirt. Particular attention is paid to the bearing surfaces of the bearings and the engine manifold.

The impeller mounting nut has a left-hand thread. Exceptions are found, but very rarely.

Troubleshooting

Sometimes this happens, that the vacuum cleaner suddenly ceases to perform its primary function. It seems that everything works, and dust is not sucked. In this case, primarily, you need to get and inspect the filters. If the filters are clogged with dust, they need to be cleaned. If, if cleaning does not work, filters need to be replaced. Before replacement it is necessary to include the vacuum cleaner without filters, and make sure, that the suction force is at the proper level. If it is still small, will have to inspect the impeller. It can happen, that it is completely clogged with small debris.

Check the condition of the brushes and the engine manifold at the same time. Worn brushes need to be replaced, and clean the collector. The tightness of the hoses can also be broken, especially in places of their nozzles on branch pipes. This should also be noted.

Advice. The collector can be very carefully cleaned with a fine sandpaper №0 or №00.

The next common problem is that the vacuum cleaner does not turn on. There are three main reasons:

  • fuse blown;
  • break in the network wire;
  • fault in the switch.

The fuse has already been mentioned, but to check for other faults you will need a regular tester. With its help you can easily ring the wires and identify the place of the break. Then the soldering iron is connected to the case and the fault is eliminated.

Before you start looking for broken wires, you need to make sure, that the temperature sensor in the vacuum cleaner did not work and the engine was not forcibly de-energized.

This happens in the case of prolonged operation of the vacuum cleaner. No repairs are required here. After cooling, the vacuum cleaner will be restored automatically.

If the vacuum cleaner vibrates or screams during operation, gnash, that means, that there was a problem with the bearings. They need to be lubricated, and it is best to replace immediately. The presence of sharp sounds in the bearing assembly indicates the development of its motor resource.

And the last trouble - do not tighten the power cord. Repair in this case is also not very difficult. There may be a problem here, probably, in the spring. You need to get to the winding drum and inspect it. It is possible to weaken the spring or vice versa, its procrastination. If everything is fine here, then you have to remove the drum and unwind the wire (or vice versa, roll up). This adjusts the tension force of the drum.

At inspection it is necessary to check up working capacity of a clamping roller. Vacuum cleaners of any brand are not insured against such a malfunction, when the engine speed is no longer regulated. In this case, you need to look for the problem in the electronic control unit. It is simply not recommended to repair it yourself.
