Noise during spin, when the drum is spinning at high speed, talk about it, that the bearings are time to lubricate, so as not to have to change urgently. This procedure should not be delayed: housing wear may begin. This operation is simple, although it takes a long time - it all depends, what brand of home appliances you have. Let's find out, how to lubricate a bearing in a washing machine, and what oil must be used.
Choice of oil
The industry produces a wide range of lubricants for all occasions, and it is necessary to be guided in this abundance. Before you buy quality oil, it is better to consult with knowledgeable people.
Professionals advise to avoid the use of automotive oils - they are ineffective in the conditions of washing machines, require frequent replacement.
Specialized service centers can offer you:
- Amplifon - waterproof bearing oil from Italian developers;
- Anderoll - from the manufacturers of Indesit machines, sold in jars by 100 g or in syringes, dosed for two applications;
- Club Staburags NBU 12 - maintains viscosity to 1400 C, is available in containers up to 1 kg;
- Liqui Moly Silicon-Fett is a German silicone lubricant, in tubes of 50 - 100 m;
- Huskey Lube-O-Seal PTFE Grease is multi-purpose, completely synthetic, super-waterproof, plastic ink from the USA.
The last two types of lubrication are of the highest quality, therefore, the price is appropriate. Choose them, what you can afford, and the principle of action is the same for all: high-quality tightness of the bearing assembly, excellent viscosity.
Disassembly of the washing machine
After selecting the oil, we begin the process of disassembling the machine. Almost complete disassembly is required, to get to the tank, and then it must be disassembled into components.
Before disassembling, photograph the appearance of the machine, each node, to then, during assembly, you have no questions.
- Turn off the machine, set it like this, to have a free approach from all sides. First, remove the top cover and back panel - a detailed description of all stages of disassembly with photos is available on the Internet, so we will only point out the main points.
- Remove the dispenser, detach the control panel: you have to be especially careful here, so as not to snatch the wiring.
- Then we are engaged in a cuff on the hatch of loading of linen - tighten a spring the screw-driver and remove a collar of fastening of a cuff.
- Detach the edges of the rubber seal from the wall, tuck the cuff inside the drum. Unscrew the wall mount and carefully remove it, so as not to tear the wire, going to lock the hatch lock.
- Now remove the dispenser housing, disconnect all wires, branch pipes, remove the main counterweight, to remove the tank without obstruction.
- Remove the bottom cover - the bottom of the machine, to get to the bottom mount of the tank. Disconnect the drain pipe, for this purpose we untwist a fastening collar, Carefully remove from the tank and disconnect from the drain pump.
- Remove the heating element. Be sure to take a photo here in advance, so as not to confuse anything. TEN in different models of washing machines is located behind or in front. Carefully disconnect all wires, at the same time we carefully inspect their fastening to various parts, so as not to miss anything, after dismantling we remove them from the car.
- Unscrew all the counterweights, to lighten the tank. Disconnect the water level sensor, shock absorbers, rear mounts, on which the tank lies, for this purpose we unscrew bolts.
- When all fasteners are removed, remove the belt from the pulley, push your hand into the tank, raise it, disconnect the springs and pull out.
Disassembly of the tank and replacement of bearings
Inspect the tank: in some washing machines it is integral, in others - from two halves. If the tank is welded, then saw it carefully on the seam Bulgarian, then you can connect the halves with bolts and silicone-based sealants.
Disassembling the tank, proceed to remove the bearings:
- The drum pulley is fixed with a nut, which can be unscrewed with a sprocket wrench.
- Shaking the pulley body, remove the drum.
- Carefully knock out the shaft, disconnecting the drum and the tank body. On the inside and outside are the desired products.
- For removal we use a special stripper.
Carefully! The pulley mounting bolt is quite difficult to unscrew - lubricate it with WD-40, which will penetrate into place, where the nut is attached to the thread of the bolt, and after a while try to unscrew.
Disassembling the bearings, inspect them, as well as seals for serviceability and integrity. Only then start lubrication: clean from old oil with WD-40, wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth and grease. This is the easiest part of the whole process.
The bearings must be lubricated at least once every five years.
Then repeat all your actions in reverse order. There is a video to facilitate the work:
