Electrical safety certificate: admission groups, the principle of issuing a document, sample filling
Working with electrical products requires certain knowledge and skills from the master. Failure to handle such devices or poor repair may result in serious injury or significant damage.. Therefore, to avoid such troubles, every electrician must undergo appropriate training to obtain an electrical safety certificate.
Admission groups for electrical safety
First of all, it is worth mentioning, that there are several levels of access, on the basis of which the relevant electrical safety certificate is issued:
- Group I. (specialists, who do not have in-depth knowledge of electrical safety). This group includes people with a minimum of safety knowledge when working with electrical equipment. They are not allowed to work with high voltage or repair a faulty device.
- Group II (electricity, electricians, electric welders and electricians). People, who have a minimal idea of the device and operation of electrical appliances. in addition, trained to provide first aid in case of electric shock.
- Group III (engineers, electricians, electricians, repair staff, electricity, assistant technicians). Specialists, who have extensive knowledge in the field of electrical engineering. They have certificates for high voltage operation (to 1000 V).
- Group IV (safety specialists, engineers, electricians, electricians, masters of shop electrical installations). This includes specialists, having secondary special education in the maintenance of electrical equipment.
- V group (techniques, electricians, electricians, engineers). Highest category. These include people with specialized education.
Each group must have relevant knowledge and have an electrical safety certificate, in which the qualification of the specialist is specified.
Obtaining an electrical safety certificate
From 4.08.2014. new rules for certification and retraining of electrical personnel came into force. According to the new requirements, specialists, regardless of length of service, are required to pass certification. in addition, the document specifies the conditions of qualification confirmation (extension of the certificate). According to them, employees are required to re-certify each 6 months. An employee of Rostechnadzor is obliged to be present at the commission.
To obtain an official electrical safety certificate required:
- The passport.
- Application for training.
- Medical certificate of admission to work with electrical products.
- Extract from the previous re-certification (in the presence of).
The standard term of training is about 2 weeks. The period of training for advanced training is slightly higher - 4-5 weeks. After passing the certification, the employee is issued an electrical safety certificate.
It is also worth noting, that not everyone is required to obtain this document 6 months of training. This certificate can be purchased. Truth, you will have to pay for such a service (the exact amount depends on the electrical safety group). However, this approach is popular among experienced craftsmen, who do not want to spend time on the next certification.
