The most popular are two-key devices, which can control several lighting devices at once, located in different rooms or in one lamp. Not so popular, but no less efficient are the three-button switches, although the scheme of their connection is much more complicated.
Thanks to the principle of operation of the switch it is possible to organize the control of one lamp from different parts of the house or apartment. But for its implementation requires several one-button devices and a cross switch. And when using several cross devices, you can control the lamp from four points in the apartment.
I want to note, that each additional control point of the light source significantly complicates the connection scheme of circuit-breakers, which can lead to difficulties in maintenance and repair of lighting fixtures in the house. Features of the scheme of connection of through switches from two places

The embodiment of such a scheme, perhaps, and with four one-button circuit breakers, but this is not rational in terms of the cost of additional cables and distribution boxes.
If necessary, a double circuit breaker can be used as a crossover with one key. To do this, switch the corresponding contacts, and the keys are connected to each other for simultaneous operation.
Features of control of the lamp from three places
Two-key push-button switches, as well as analogs with one key can work as cross devices. The principle of switching contact groups has a similar scheme with the control of the lamp from two places. This is primarily due to the fact, that in a standard distribution box there is simply not enough space for high-quality connection of wires or because of a large number of connecting blocks it will not be possible to close a cover.
Also, any two-button circuit breakers can be used as conventional analogues. For this purpose, one contact group or not used at all, or through it connect one more separate lighting device.
