Currants An ordinary miracle: description, yields in different regions, rules of care for the variety

Every true gardener from time to time strives to try something new: try non-traditional methods of caring for familiar crops or plant new plants in your garden. One such option is black sugar currant, which is called the Ordinary Miracle. This is a new product of domestic selection.

Variety description

The description of this varietal variety characterizes it, as a dessert culture with a medium maturity. Currant bushes grow quite tall, expansive. Fruit brushes - medium size, in each count to 10 berries. Notable, that this culture has almost no small berries - they are all large and medium-sized. At the stage of ripeness the berries turn black, the skin becomes radiant and supple. The fruits have excellent taste - they are fragrant, sweet and sour.

Yields in different climatic conditions

Considering, that the currant variety Ordinary Miracle appeared in Siberia, it has all the necessary set of qualities, for successful cultivation in difficult northern climatic conditions. Of course, that culture manifests itself best in the Middle Belt, where long, warm summer and no extremely low temperatures (despite the fact, that such currants are able to withstand truly spectacular frosts - to -39 degrees!). The average yield of each bush of the Common Miracle is approximately 10 kg in one season, with small deviations to a greater or lesser extent depending on the region of cultivation.

Rules of care for currants

The usual miracle prefers loose soil: loamy, sandy or chernozem. However, thanks to a strong root system, culture grows well on absolutely any soil - root shoots go deep inside, lifting nutrients from the deep layers. Shrubs love well-lit places, with enough sunlight.

Like any kind of currant, An ordinary miracle loves attention and care: try not to miss the regular loosening of the soil around the bushes, remove weeds in a timely manner, to carry out regular top-dressings, to carry out forming pruning. Do not forget to treat the bushes with protective compounds against pests - although the culture is considered stable, it is better to be reinsured, and completely minimize the risk of uninvited guests.

Another important point is the obligatory rejuvenation of the bushes: in the spring you need to prune all the old ones, damaged or dried whips, leaving only the most viable shoots.

Try to grow a few bushes of this "wonderful" currant in your garden, and you will definitely become a loyal fan of the variety. With very little effort, you will get a rich and delicious harvest, fragrant, and most importantly - a very useful berry, which will give your family this Siberian health throughout the year.
