In which washing machines folding tank?
Breakdowns in the washing machine can be of different nature and occur for various reasons. All these problems are completely solvable, if you periodically service your equipment. Yet, there is a breakdown, which almost always happens with washing machines, namely, bearing failure. And here the logical question is,in which washing machines the manufacturer has installed a collapsible tank, so that the bearings can be replaced.
What is a collapsible tank
so, why equipping the machine with a collapsible tank is such an important parameter? As mentioned above, sooner or later in any washing machine the inevitable breakage of bearings, and you will have to make a replacement. The ability to disassemble the tank will affect the cost of repairs and the feasibility of its implementation in general.
The tank of the machine consists of two parts - the front half tank and the rear. They are fastened together with special bolts, the connection is completely tight. With such a structure, it is easily disassembled into two parts, which facilitates access to bearings and allows them to be replaced.
Many modern manufacturers began to produce washing machines without the ability to disassemble the tank, and even if it is, there is a replacement of its back part, and not specifically bearings. According to the developers, it is much simpler and more expedient in terms of monetary costs.
Non-detachable tanks in washing machines are not subject to repair, and have to make a complete replacement. However, many experts still undertake repairs. This process is time consuming and not very reliable, because it is not always possible to tightly connect the cut line, therefore such works are expensive, not everyone will do them, and no one will give guarantees for a long period of work after the repair.
In which machines it is installed
This question does not have an unambiguous answer, as the truth is known only to manufacturers and can vary within the brand for specific models. The trend towards the use of stamped tanks has been relatively recent, so ten- or five-year-old washing machines probably have collapsible guts. With more modern models, the question is not so clear.
It is safe to say, that washing machines from the Korean brand LG and the Belarusian "Atlant" are still understood. Washing equipment from Samsung, TIME, Electrolux is also equipped with collapsible tanks. Brandy Indesit, Ariston and Candy install solid guts. There are two types of tanks in Bosh washing machines. In particular, in the WAA series he does not understand, and the WAE series provides such an opportunity. ARDO washing machines are available with solid tanks.
It has already been said above, that even if the tank can be disassembled, its rear part will be replaced, in which the bearings are located. In particular, this applies to LG washing machines. At least, in a certified service offer to do just that, and it is cheaper.
How to determine, which tank is inside the washing machine
Of course, just buy a typewriter from the list above and hope, that there is a collapsible tank in it is not the best option. For this reason, it is worth looking at it in person. There are two ways to do this:
- In a store, remove the top cover and carefully inspect the device inside. Collapsible models can be seen immediately. The tank consists of two parts, which are fastened with bolts. Of course, make it quite difficult in the store, after all, many sellers will refuse to dismantle the top cover, even with that in mind, that such a procedure will not affect the warranty.
- The second option is simpler. The machine should be tilted forward or backward. The bottom of washing machines does not close, so the tank can be safely inspected.
You should not blindly trust the words of sellers, as they often have no idea about the internal structure of the device, and information about the tank is not specified in the instructions. It will be much safer to inquire about specific models in repair services. in addition, people, engaged in repair, will be able to advise one or another brand, as well as specific models based on personal experience.
