Replacement of gas stove jets with your own hands

A small detail of any gas stove, without which it can not work properly - it's a jet. It is necessary to change them seldom enough and only in that case, when there is a change of incoming blue fuel to the option of liquefied from cylinders instead of stationary gas. You can replace the nozzles in the gas stove yourself, only for this purpose it is necessary to know all nuances of dismantling, and visually distinguish the nozzle from other parts.

types of nozzles

All modern gas stoves can run on natural or main gas, as well as from a replacement cylinder, where is the liquefied gas. When using propane - you need to change something not only the nozzles on the stove, ah reducer.

The jets are made in the form of a small bolt with a thread and a hole in the main part - through it gas is supplied to the hob. Then in the burner it mixes with air, this mixture ignites, an open flame is formed, on which cooking is carried out.

Nozzles are available in two types: for natural gas a hole of slightly larger diameter, and the detail itself is shorter and differs visually; bolts with a longer thread are made under the liquefied gas.

If you need to replace one such part on the gas stove, when it doesn't work quite right, then experts advise to change the whole set at once - it is unknown, when the next one fails you.

This is what jets look like - a complete set for the Hephaestus gas stove:

Where to buy a kit

Of course, Every user is interested in the question - where to buy such a set, and how much is this pleasure. It all depends on the brand of your cooking assistant. Nozzles for popular brands of gas stoves can be purchased at any specialty store, where spare parts for gas equipment are sold. For rare - you can order on the official website of the manufacturer or in the service center.

Approximate prices for nozzles:

  • Belarusian plate Hephaestus - 150 p .;
  • Ariston or Indesit (on liquefied gas) — 200 p .;
  • Zanussi - 230 p .;
  • for Gorenje stove from Slovenia - 700 rubles.

All prices are for a set of injectors or jets. Very often users are confused in the name of the parts of the gas stove: burners with flame cutters are installed in the upper part of the stove, they look like this, as shown in the photo - do not confuse them with burners.

change the nozzles

Work with gas appliances is always associated with special care - all steps must be performed strictly according to instructions. This is especially true of the use of physical force: one excessive effort, and replacing the injector turns into a major overhaul for your gas stove.

Replacing jets is a fairly simple operation, but if you have absolutely no skills to work with such equipment - it is better to invite a service specialist.

The basis of successful repairs, hand-made - strict compliance with all safety requirements when working on gas equipment. To begin, prepare a simple set of tools. You will need a screwdriver under the cross and a set of combined and cap (star type) keys:

  • for jets - 8 mm (for liquefied gas - 7 mm);
  • burner nuts - 14 mm;
  • oven pipe tip - 17 mm.

Shut off the gas supply to the stove, we prepare a table for storage of various details removed so far. All photos were taken during the dismantling of the Brest slab 300, for other products, the replacement of such parts will not differ much.

hob burners

  1. There are standard devices on the cooking panel, as shown in the photo. To get to them, you need to remove the grille.
  2. Now carefully remove the dividers and remove the burners from their sockets.
  3. To get to the jets, we need to remove the lid of the table top, which is fastened with screws.
  4. Different models have specific fasteners, we only needed to unscrew the two screws, and then the lid is easily lifted.
  5. Two strips of metal - traverses - opened before our eyes, on each fortified burner housing, which have the same design, and the only difference is the length of the aluminum pipe. At the end of this tube is the nozzle, where the blue fuel is fed, and then through the hole at the end of the nozzle goes into the leg of the burner, mixes with air and is fed to the divider. If the cutter holes are clogged, then the flame does NOT burst from all points - you need to clean or blow holes.
  6. The burner body is rigidly attached to the traverse and holds the entire structure vertically. Here you should make a small digression and talk separately about special devices - there is a myth among users about a unique set of tubular wrenches, with which it is easy to replace the nozzles on any model of gas stove. Any, that even without technical education a person immediately sees, that such a key will not get to the nozzle due to the special structure of the whole structure.
    The first photo is clearly visible, how the nozzle is fixed on the pipeline in our case, and nearby - other designs of gas burners from more modern types of stoves, where the nozzles are screwed into the housing from above, the table does not need to be disassembled. Such options are much more expensive, but easy to replace injectors.
  7. To release the tip, you need to find a special clamp - a plate with a slot and a hole in the middle, looks like a clothespin. Squeeze one side of the clamp gently, without the use of force, remove it from the socket - the tip with the nozzle is free, press the tube and it comes down from the mounting ring.
  8. Now you can start replacing. There are two options: tear off the nozzles from all the pipes and unscrew the jets on the table or try to remove the nozzles in place. The first is better, T. TO. Weld the nozzles to the tip body, that it is very difficult to unscrew them - for this purpose it is sometimes accurately clamped in metalwork vices. If you are afraid to confuse, then all tips have markings.
  9. When the tip is pulled, the seal ring remains inside, therefore when assembling it it is necessary to get and put on a tube. The thread of the nozzle is not sealed - there is no technical need. The rings are also not lubricated with anything, because the internal pressure of the main gas pipeline is much lower, than in water pipes.

This completes the replacement of the injectors on the table, assembly is performed in reverse order, but first you need to change the nozzles in the oven.

Nozzle in the oven

  1. Open the lower technical box of the plate, and fully open the oven door to the lowest position.
  2. The nozzle is located behind the left wall of the oven in a special housing, in which it is inserted ??bent in the form of an arc burner. To get to it, the floor must be removed, there is a slot for this, we pull on ourselves, he must go out without resistance. Set it aside.
  3. Unscrew the two screws securing the burner and remove it from the oven. A hole opens on the left, through which the gas enters the burner. That's where the nozzle hid, which needs to be replaced.
  4. In view of the, that during long operation the nozzle could strongly cling to the nozzle body, do not try to break it - if the thread is flaky, then you will need to buy a new case.
  5. Unscrew the three screws, mounting the left side wall of the plate, put it aside.
  6. There is a nut at the end of the pipeline - it must be unscrewed with a wrench 17 mm, to remove the nozzle housing. It unscrews without any problems.
  7. To unscrew the two screws securing the housing to the oven wall, it is necessary to take away the pipeline a little, after that - get the nozzle.
  8. Replacement is carried out in a quiet atmosphere at the table - the nozzle is very stuck, so I had to lubricate it with a special tool and wait a few minutes.

The assembly is carried out exactly the opposite, with all cautions.

Here are all the nuances of replacing the nozzles in the gas furnace. Just remember, that the jet is put only its own, and strictly on marking - for each model of a plate special sets of these small are on sale, but very important devices.
