  • 4 corner 2,5 on 2,5 see and 460 mm long with ends, trimmed at an angle 45 degrees;
  • 4 blanks from the corners with illogical parameters as in the previous details, but in length 760 mm;
  • 4 steel corner 3,2 on 3,2 see and 915 mm long for table legs.

The following elements are also required for consumables and components:

  • 4 wheel supports with threaded connections and nuts to them;
  • 4 special nuts for connecting threaded studs;
  • 4 locking rings for fastening wheel elements;
  • a segment of pipe length 75 mm and cross section 30 mm, if the table will be used for gas welding.

Naturally, to assemble a welding table with your own hands you will need a tool from the following list:

  • electric welding and all accessories to it: cable, electrode clamps, etc.. d.;
  • trade winds, two squares, construction roulette, chalk, ruler and hammer;
  • 3 special C-shaped clamps;
  • hacksaw on metal, and it is better an electric Bulgarian to perform cutting at a given angle.

The sequence of self-assembly of the table

After the preparatory process for the purchase of consumables and preparation of all necessary tools will be completed, you can proceed to the direct assembly of the welding table with your own hands. To this end, experts recommend following a certain sequence of simple actions.

  1. Frames with shelves for a table-top are welded. To do this, combine the blanks from the corners in length 760 and 460 mm and are connected by electric welding.
  2. It is important to follow, to match the matching angle 90 degrees.
  3. Assembly of the second frame is performed by analogy.
  4. Prepared blanks are captured by welding.
  5. After that the table-top is welded by the hands to the prepared frame. A metal plate is used for this purpose, to which the frame is attached.
  6. It is important to remember, that before, how to make a solid weld you need to make a few grips around the perimeter of the tabletop. This will prevent deformation of the structure from high temperatures during welding.
  7. The second shelf is made similarly to the first blank.
  8. At the next stage the legs are mounted again with the help of a welding machine. The legs should also be placed perpendicular to the tabletop. A clamp is used to fix the individual elements.
  9. Further, self-assembly and fixing of the second shelf is carried out. Shelves are located at a distance 700 mm from each other.
  10. All individual parts are fixed with tack and only after checking the geometry of the welding table assembled with their own hands is the final welding of seams.
  11. After installing all 4 legs go to the installation of wheels.
  12. If the workplace will be used for gas welding, then the holder is additionally welded, in which the burner will be located. For this purpose the preparation from a pipe is used.

Safety rules must be observed during assembly work, after all, there is nothing more valuable, than human health. It is important to use protective ammunition when carrying out assembly work: gloves, glasses or shield.

Safety measures when working at the welding table

It is no secret, that work with the welding machine is accompanied by a certain danger and therefore the person should protect himself from possible troubles at independent work at a desktop. Before you start any work, the following factors must be considered:

  • It is important to provide quality ventilation at the work site. The best option is to install exhaust ventilation.
  • Protection against electric shock. For this purpose it is necessary to work in special gloves of the welder and to adhere, so that they are always dry.
  • Eye protection against arc radiation. This requires a protective mask or goggles.
  • Prevent your desktop from splashing metal. Before carrying out welding actions it is necessary to clear a place of work of any garbage especially easily flammable. You need to remove the container with paint, remove sawdust and especially remove fuel tanks, if the workshop is arranged in a garage.
